Planview Enterprise 11
This version of the Planview Enterprise 11 Project Portfolio Management System provides an interface that is tailored to tailor your environment to your needs. Previously, PPM systems were used mainly for IT project management, Planview explains, but now business units are also beginning to use them. The interface and functionality had to be redesigned with this in mind.
Planview Enterprise has implemented a number of new metrics in recent years: income, equivalent working hours, and so on. Different departments need to track different metrics - product developers are more interested in sales and equivalent working hours, while IT departments focus on spending and using resources.
The package start screen interface uses a button ribbon to call up graph creation tools, critical metrics, notifications, and other functions. Navigation on the ribbon, according to the developers, is more visible and more effective than traditional menus. The package architecture has also been rebuilt. A system for searching for functions has been added, tools for composing plans, tracking arbitrary deadlines and other improvements have been introduced.
2021: Included in Gartner Quadrant
In recent years, a growing number of companies have used Agile to manage development. As the State of Agile 2021 report prepared by Digital.ai showed, in 2021 there was an explosive increase in the implementation of this methodology "from 37% in 2020 to 86% in 2021, and in IT - from 26% to 60%, respectively. As Gartner experts noted: "The pandemic required companies to quickly introduce new processes, practices and technologies to support changes in the way products and services are delivered." The leaders included Planview with Planview Enterprise.
Experts consider the advantages of a comprehensive solution Gartner to be good planning capabilities at the program and portfolio level and SAFe support, it is noted that this vendor is suitable for companies with different levels of agile competence. Planview diversifies its product portfolio through mergers and acquisitions; potential buyers should evaluate their software landscape to ensure that there is no duplication and redundancy in Planview implementation.
