Polycom RealPresence CloudAXIS

On November 19, 2013 Polycom announced availability of the Russian localization of CloudAXIS - program expansion of the Polycom RealPresence platform for the organization of the corporate VIDEOCONFERENCING systems - which allows to connect to sessions of corporate video conference of any third-party user via the web browser. The global version of this solution appeared in the fall of 2012.

Polycon explains that CloudAXIS can be used, for example, for holding remote interviews by HR services of the companies, medical institutions - for inspection of patients using video conference, retailers and financial institutions - for visual communication with the clients for the purpose of quality improvement of an obsluzhivaniyaila, etc.

One of key advantages of the solution the developer calls an opportunity to organize joint sessions of video conference with the same level of confidentiality and security, as well as when using all other corporate solutions of conference communication of Polycom which was available only just under protection of the corporate firewall earlier.

Russian-language CloudAXIS interface

CloudAXIS is intended for work in the form of the virtual application on the standardized equipment. In June, 2013 the solution got support of the VMware vSphere 5.0 virtualization platform. in working environments.

For participation in corporate video conference of third-party users, the employee of the company organizing it sends them invitations with the link for fast connection which addressees can receive by e-mail, in Facebook, on Skype or Google Talk.

When opening of the received link in the browser, it will be offered to user to download a special plug-in then it will get on the page of a session of a videokonfentssvyaza. For launch of the Russian version of CloudAXIS, it is possible to be connected to video conferences from desktops via browsers Internet Explorer Google Chrome Firefox, and Safari. The user can participate in a session of corporate video conference via the web browser and from mobile devices.

In addition to directly video conference CloudAXIS allows to use also a number of additional functions, such as group chat, data exchange and record of video conferences.

The vice president of Polycom in Russia and the CIS Sergey Homyakov told TAdviser that for launch of the Russian version of CloudAXIS, the solution in the test mode is used at a number of big local customers.
