In September-October, 2017 the American startup of Matrix earlier known under the name Silicium Energy will begin deliveries of the innovation PowerWatch smartwatch which are fed from heat of the person and will never demand a charge from the socket, reported the CNBC agency on June 29.[1]

Watch of PowerWatch will cost up to $179

According to information on a developer's site, to an exit three PowerWatch models with the price from $139 to $179 are planned.[2]

Founders of a startup of Matrix — Akram Boukai and Douglas Tham, both defended dissertations in chemistry in California Institute of Technology, for production of gadgets attracted external financing for the amount of $12.3 million, data of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) demonstrate. Besides, the company expects additional investments in the amount of $5 million.

Innovation can make the serious competition to current leaders of the world market of wearable electronics. According to the results of the first quarter 2017 experts of Strategy Analytics reported that Fitbit which was earlier winning first place on sales of wearable devices was inferior to Apple.

Specialists counted that in January-March Apple delivered 3.5 million hours of Apple Watch taking into account what its share in the market made 15.9%. At Fitbit of shipment sank for 35% year on year, up to 2.9 million pieces therefore the share of vendor fell from 24.7 to 13.2%.
