Technology: | ACS - Control and management systems for access |
Control and management systems for access (ACS) allowed to solve a number of problems of security of buildings and the enterprises. But nevertheless a bottleneck of such systems still is influence of a human factor — especially it well noticeable at a stage of manual registration and execution of the admission of the visitor. Manual entering of data of the visitor into base takes quite long time, at the same time errors are not excluded. For the solution of these problems ACS producers integrate the software products allowing to automate registration of visitors and issue of admissions to them into the systems.
The Integrator company made in the summer of 2011 the decision to implement possibilities of recognition of certifying documents in Pro-Watch — the software of the integrated security system and data management. Pro-Watch is a product of Honeywell Integrated Security company which official supplier is Integrator Ltd. Pro-Watch allows to create the complex integrated security system including systems: control and access control, security and disturbing signaling, system management of security television, management and production of admissions. For project implementation by specialists of Integrator company the Cognitive Passport program which implements functions of scanning, recognition and input of identity documents was selected, and it is delivered for developers together with API that simplifies integration of the application into the third-party software.
Integration of Cognitive Passport into Pro-Watch will allow to accelerate process of registration of visitors, having reduced at the same time number of errors. By experience of the companies which are engaged in development and deployment by security systems no more than 20 seconds are spent for registration of the visitor using Cognitive Passport. Besides, the speed of registration is influenced also by an opportunity through Cognitive Passport automatically to find the photo of the owner and his signature on the image of the document that allows not to photograph the visitor at execution of the admission.
