2022: Announcement of a human-like robot with emotions Robo-C-2

In January 2022, the Russian company Promobot introduced a new humanoid robot capable of gesticulating and realistically interacting with people. Android compared to the previous model can express a wider range of emotions, and also has more realistic skin and eyes. The novelty was called Robo-C-2, first it will be used in shopping centers, multifunctional centers (MFC) and museums.

The robot is equipped with new sero drives, a wide range of micromimics regulation, hyperrealistic silicone skin and eyes. Promobot technology allows you to reproduce more than 600 versions of human micromimics, simulating emotions as realistically as possible.

Promobot introduced a human-like robot with emotions

With the help of special software, three modes of operation of robots were created: basic gesticulation during communication, movement by user command and movement by developer command. The company plans to create legs for the robot based on a dynamic stabilization system.

According to Oleg Kivokurtsev, the development director of the development company, the robot's hands are able to withstand a load of up to 1 kg, he can take something in his hand, indicate the direction, shake the hand of the interlocutor. In the future, it is planned to teach the robot to write in various languages ​ ​ and draw, he said.

The cost of Robo-C-2 begins at 2.8 million rubles. It took eight months to create Robo-C-2, these models will soon appear in shopping centers, MFCs and museums, said in Promobot.

It is noted that by January 2022 in Russia you can find 19 robots of the Robo-C model in the MFC of Moscow, the MFC of Perm, medical universities and museums. Another 700 Promobot V.4 service robots are delivered to 43 countries.

The total amount of funds raised by Promobot, according to Crunchbase, by January 2022 is $8.1 million.^[1]
