2024: Recognition of software related to the field of AI
The Opturan system created by FSUE ProtectionInfoTrans is officially recognized as software related to the field of artificial intelligence. The developer announced this on July 11, 2024.
The Opturan system helps to combat the shortage of drivers, reduce their outflow from public transport enterprises, reduce the cost of forming a daily outfit from 4 hours to 10 minutes (i.e. for 96%) - over the year, the savings in production time will be 1360 hours for every 150 drivers, which significantly increases labor productivity. Opturan helps to automatically find the most optimal solution for the purpose of vehicles and the formation of driver schedules. Planning is possible to a depth of up to 31 days. The total potential annual effect of the system implementation is 10-15%.
Every day, several thousand drivers automatically plan their working hours using the Opturan system.
{{quote 'author = said the general director of FSUE "ProtectionInfoTrans" Ilya Perevalov. | Opturan successfully conquers the market and helps to solve several problems facing transport industry the economy of the country and in general. Opturan is the link in a comprehensive plan to achieve import independence, where the transition to domestic developments ensures efficiency for business, while the solutions themselves represent the most advanced approach to digital transformation, namely, the transport industries introduction of artificial intelligence technologies. In addition, the Opturan system is able to positively affect the quality of life of the driver and passenger, as well as ensure the safety of all participants in the transportation process. Let me emphasize: a solution has appeared in Russia, of which there are only a few well-known analogues in the world.}}
2023: Announcement of "Opturan"
On October 5, 2023, FSUE ProtectionInfoTrans announced the development of a system to optimize the process of planning drivers and vehicles in the field of public passenger transport using the artificial intelligence of OPTURAN.
According to the company, the OPTURAN system makes it possible to make more efficient the process of forming an outfit of drivers and vehicles for their optimal distribution, including on the route, in reserve, for training, taking into account all the requirements for the mode of operation and rest, using discrete optimization and machine learning technologies for this.
The traditional manual charging process is subject to the "domino effect," says Mikhail Nechaev, director of the department of transport production systems at FSUE ProtectionInfoTrans. When changing one of the many factors that have to be taken into account when planning (routes, traffic schedule, vacation and medical board of drivers assigned to the flight, maintenance schedule, etc.), a chain reaction occurs and the scheme collapses. The complexity of the manual process leads to additional costs, and planning no further than the next day - to the processing of drivers due to the uneven distribution of working time and workload.
The response to the request from the passenger transportation segment by public transport: buses, trolleybuses, trams, metro and suburban trains - is ready to provide FSUE "ProtectionInfoTrans" specialists: the introduction of optimal distribution systems will optimize the efficiency of planning drivers and vehicles. The OPTURAN system helps to find the most optimal solution for the purpose of vehicles and the formation of driver schedules using discrete optimization and machine learning methods, which is a special case of artificial intelligence.
The OPTURAN system works in cooperation with the current planning system, which is already used by the transport enterprise. From this system, OPTURAN receives all the necessary data: route schedule, personnel and vehicle data, and so on. On the basis of the loaded data, the planning employee starts parallel calculations with different priorities on his own. After the calculation is complete, the employee compares the plans and determines the best plan for the company. For example, in one option, it is possible to save a certain amount of money for the company, and in another, to complete the task with fewer drivers. A suitable plan for the company is uploaded to its planning system, where you can continue to work with it using the current technology.
The flexible mechanism for setting up the OPTURAN system allows you to take into account the necessary industry rules, such as the requirements for the shift interval for drivers, the maximum number of reworkings that cannot be exceeded, the ban on the charging of vehicles under maintenance, and the assignment of drivers to the main routes. The planning horizon of the OPTURAN system is from one day to a month. At the same time, strategic planning allows you to carry out an analysis, which the developers call "what if": for example, you can calculate the required number of drivers by forming and evaluating a schedule with another theoretically possible number of drivers.
The potential annual effect of reducing the cost of forming an order is 10-15%. The effect is achieved by reducing labor costs for planning, reducing the volume of re-working and work on the weekend of drivers, increasing the utilization of vehicles and reducing accidents due to the regular distribution of load between drivers. In addition, OPTURAN is provided under the SaaS model and does not require additional costs. The SaaS model is proposed to be used in a secure cloud, which allows you to quickly switch to using the solution directly in the transport enterprise.
Digitalization of the business charging process allows you to achieve such results as uniform distribution of the load on drivers and vehicles, increased driver loyalty, increased traffic safety, and ultimately the passenger wins.
The system of optimal planning of drivers and vehicles using discrete optimization and machine learning technologies is an advanced topic that allows businesses to get a financial result through the achievements of fundamental science. The use of an innovative system-as-a-service approach in the charging process allows us to offer public transport enterprises a service with the shortest possible time for its implementation. told Ilya Perevalov, General Director of FSUE ProtectionInfoTrans |
