2020: Announcement of Pure FlashRecover

On August 12, 2020 the companies Pure Storage also Cohesity announced strategic partnership which result is an emergence in the Pure FlashRecover market on the basis of Cohesity.

As it was explained, Pure and Cohesity came to this partnership, based on demand of clients for the solution for data protection integrated by all-flash which will allow to perform scalable data recovery and creation of backup copies. The companies agreed about cooperation when more and more clients use cloud services and need protection against viruses racketeers.

Pure FlashRecover on the basis of Cohesity gives all opportunities of backup and recovery of all-flash of data which are necessary for the enterprises for fast data recovery in case of an emergency situation or the attack of a virus racketeer. The solution provides data protection according to the scheme "FFO" (Flash-to-Flash-to-Cloud, F2F2C) and also fast independent scaling of processing, capacity and capacity of DWH for the most effective use of all resources.

This solution also allows the organizations to make long-term investments in data processing centers and to implement the following performance levels for the satisfaction of the growing requirements to recovery at the level of petabytes. Besides, the solution allows to reuse data of backup for analytics and DevOps, allowing several applications to use DWH on the FlashBlade platform for files and objects.

Integrating in itself the software of Cohesity DataProtect with the unified Pure platform for work with files and objects of FlashBlade, the integrated solution provides:

• Performance: to 3 times faster backup and recovery of capacity in comparison with the disk alternatives capable to recover thousands of virtual machines and to 1 PB of data a day, necessary for compliance to large-scale requirements of disaster recovery
• Integration: purchase, deployment and support - everything is provided through uniform point of entry, through Pure, saving clients from need to pass through two suppliers. Pure is a technology partner of Cohesity now, and the companies aim to work on products jointly.
• Scalability: disaggregated calculations and storage which allow to provide independent scaling for processing of backup copies / recovery, capacity and the capacity of storage for the most effective use of resources.
• Simplicity: cloud integration does management of a lung and allows to execute backup and recovery according to the scheme "FFO", inexpensive public cloud DWH for long-term storage and updating without work interruption.
