2020: Release of expansion units of capacity of TL‑D800C and TL‑R1200C‑RP
On May 13, 2020 the QNAP company announced release of expansion units of capacity for NAS, computers and servers with USB interface 3.2 Gen 2 Type‑C: desktop 8diskovy TL‑D800C and rack 12diskovy TL‑R1200C‑RP with two power supplies. Modules are intended for expansion of disk space of the network drives QNAP and also applications as external data warehouses for any computer devices.
Users of QNAP devices can create pools of storage and configure settings RAID through the Storage and Snapshots application as a part of QTS and also just connect modules as normal external storages data. At connection to devices under management operating systems Windows, Mac OS and Ubuntu in the QNAP JBOD Manager program it is possible to receive information about a status of disk space, fan rotation speed and existence of updating of a firmware.
The delivery includes one USB Gen 2 cable with Type‑C and Type‑A connectors, the USB Gen 2 cable from two Type‑C is purchased separately. Modules support migration of JBOD for data transfer at connection to different devices. Also separate disks can be used as removable if they do not enter Raidgruppy.
