QTECH: QWM-8000 Equipment of wavelength division multiplexing

QTECH QWM-8000 is a line of the equipment of wavelength division multiplexing for the banking sector.

In the whole QWM-8000 represents the high-performance platform of the next generation suitable for creation of trunk, zone, local Metro Ethernet-networks. The platform meets requirements imposed to solving of tasks on optical consolidation for providers, data centers, public institutions, the enterprises of fuel and energy complex. The equipment is applicable for the organization of data transmission for the 1st optical fiber using EDFA amplifiers (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier — the fiber-optical amplifier on the optical fiber alloyed by erbium ions) with blue/red-filters.

2018: Output to the market

On April 23, 2018 the QTECH company announced an output to the market of a line of the equipment of wavelength division multiplexing QWM-8000 for the banking sector.

As noted in the company, density of building of buildings is so big that the existing fiber-optic communication lines "are already filled", and it is not possible to lay the new optical fibers (OF). The xWDM technology (wavelength division multiplexing) is applied to permission of such problems. Thanks to a wide lineup the line of the equipment of wavelength division multiplexing of QWM-8000 series is capable to cover technical needs of the customer in full, claim in QTECH.

In particular, use of technologies of wavelength division multiplexing on the basis of AWG (Arrayed Waveguide Grating) allows to implement the capacity of an optical transport network to 48 channels of C-range.

Support of all types of customer services, whether it be FiberChannel (4/8/10GFC), synchronous digital hierarchy of SDH (STM1/STM4/STM16) or Ethernet (from 10mb/with to 10gb/c) opens for customers ample opportunities of use of the equipment on the communication networks, noted in QTECH.

The fault tolerance of a line of the equipment is reached thanks to support hot reservation both on a power supply (1+1), and at the expense of reservation payments: optical linear protection (OLP) and OEO payments with reservation on the linear party.

Additional feature of a line is the support of EDFA amplifiers implemented in it with Blue/Red-filters. If earlier wavelength division multiplexing was based on the two-fiber scheme, then now existence of EDFA amplifiers with Blue/Red-filters allows to use only one fiber for the fiber-optic communication line organization. It is important plus in the conditions of city networks.

Thanks to the simple and clear graphical interface training of specialists of the customer happens instantly and does not require deep preparation that, in turn, reduces time for implementation of the equipment of wavelength division multiplexing of QTECH on networks of the customer.
