QuarkXPress 8.5

The version of QuarkXPress 8.5 offers support of the text documents Microsoft Office in the DOCX format, expanded color libraries PANTONE PLUS, automatic update of program components, correction of a number of errors.

The new version of a packet of QuarkXPress allows to import and export documents in the DOCX format – expansion based on the XML standard which is used in the latests version of the Microsoft Word text editor instead of the DOC files.

The module Quark Updater in a set of QuarkXPress 8.5 for the first time provides completely automated loading of the QuarkXPress components. Now QuarkXPress can independently detect, load and set updates.

QuarkXPress 8.5 contains new components for PANTONE PLUS library. In particular, at choice of users PANTONE+CMYK libraries (for color separation in the CMYK format) are offered, to PANTONE+COLOR BRIDGE (for color separation according to the corporate table Color Bridge), PANTONE+PASTELS & NEONS (for an output pastel and neon pigments on chalk overlay and normal paper) and PANTONE+PREMIUM METALLICS CHIPS (for the metallized printing on chalk overlay paper).

Except the increased flexibility and an expanded set of functions, the QuarkXPress 8.5 program performs stabler and reliable work due to correction of the found defects. In particular, full compatibility with the Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system is maintained, some problems in operation of the module PDFxport for an imposition output in files of the PDF format are fixed. Integration of the Quark Publishing System system into the modules Job Jackets is improved.
