2020: Rosneft upgrades the geomechanical RN-Sigma complex

RN-Bashnipineft LLC (enters a corporate scientific and project complex of Rosneft company) improves the corporate software package "RN-Sigma" intended for geomechanical modeling when drilling.

Specialists of institute develop the version of the RN-Sigma 2.0 complex which enhanced capabilities will allow to obtain actual data from data transmission, boring using an industry standard, for refining of forecast geomechanical model and operational decision making directly in the course of drilling. By the present moment the module of geomechanical maintenance of well-drilling in real time is already implemented.

Digitalization in all spheres of activity of the company - one of crucial elements of strategy Rosneft-2022. The emphasis on implementation of digital technologies will increase transparency, controllability and speed of decision making on all production chain of the company.

"RN-Sigma" executes a full stroke of works on collecting, the analysis and preprocessing of data, to creation 1D of geomechanical models. On the basis of modeling the safe range of density of drilling mud is defined, the forecast of complications when drilling is executed, optimization of a trajectory and construction of the well, form input data for the subsequent modeling of hydraulic fracturing of layer.

The corporate RN-Sigma simulator is used in productive activity by specialists in the field of geomechanics of the largest institutes of Rosneft: RN-Bashnipineft LLC, TPRC LLC, Rosneft — STC LLC, INNTs Ltd, Samaranipineft LLC, JSC IGIRGI, RN-Sakhalinnipineft LLC, etc. In two years using "RN-SIGMA" calculations for more than 200 wells, difficult on construction, are executed.
