2019: A grant in 5 million rubles from Skolkovo Foundation on development of the microwave sensor

On July 30, 2019 the Russian venture capital company reported that the portfolio company of RVC Biofund received a minigrant of Skolkovo Foundation in the amount of 5 million rubles on development of the microwave RTM-Brain sensor. The device to allow to visualize brain temperature for prevention and treatment of a stroke.

RTM-Brain will become a portable product which uses technology of passive microwave radio thermometry for temperature measurement of internal tissues of brain. Data can be used for identification of rehabilitation potential of patients with the intense violation of brain blood circulation (IVBBC), in particular, at prevention and treatment of a stroke. Temperature measurement will allow to judge extent of damage of a brain and also to estimate risk of its emergence.

For medical microwave radio thermometry our company advances the leading foreign schools of sciences in the development area of devices. The microwave RTM-Brain sensor is going to be developed by the end of 2020. I believe that within 2-3 years it will not have analogs in the world. The Russian producers of devices for a kraniotserebralny hypothermia of a brain and intensive care units will be the first potential customers RTM-Brain. In the subsequent, in process of development of medical technologies of application of microwave radio thermometry, RTM-Brain will find the place in departments of neurology, traumatology and orthopedics, the rehabilitation centers,

The RTM Diagnostics company specializes in developments and commercialization of technology of deep radio thermometry. At the heart of technology – measurement of own electromagnetic radiation of tissues of the person with the microwave and infrared range of waves.
