Radware VADI

Product
Developers: Radware
Date of the premiere of the system: October, 2010
Branches: Telecommunication and communication
Technology: Virtualization,  Data processing centers are technologies for DPC

The concept of VADI (Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure) is intended for achievement of reliability and efficiency of virtualization of IT structure of the data processing centers (DPC). The architecture of VADI from Radware allows to transform normal infrastructure of delivery of traffic of applications to the integrated managed virtual infrastructure with providing SLA and predictable performance. Thanks to the unique concept of VADI of DPC of large enterprises, telecom operators, service providers of a hosting and "cloud computing" will be able to avoid many risks connected with consolidation and virtualization of resources of data processing of applications.

The main komponeta of VADI include: virtual ADC (vADC) blocks — the normal controller of delivery of the ADC applications is transformed to the delivery services of applications offered for different levels of predictable performance and SLA; the ADC functions — are implemented in three options at choice, depending on requirements of applications and SLA (the specialized ADC on the physical platform with one vADC block providing the increased capacity and delivery services of applications on demand; numerous vADC on the specialized Radware OnDemand Switch platform under control of an industry-first hypervisor of ADC ADC-VX; the program ADC — vADC on the basis of any virtual server framework working as the virtual device); VADI services — a set of services of virtualization of infrastructure for delivery of applications integrated into the systems of business logic of virtual DPCs; the open API and software modules supporting a full integration in the standard systems of business logic and in corporate automation systems and provision of services.

Transition from DPC on the basis of a physical medium to DPC of the mixed or completely virtual type, along with economy of the total costs, sets a number of new tasks in the field of consolidation and traffic management of applications and creates risks concerning reliability and predictability of parameters of performance of IT structure. The hypervisor of Radware ADC-VX, already available in the market, maintains flexibility of ADC services inherent in the virtual systems without loss in reliability and predictability of their performance, emphasized in the company. This solution supports: isolation of architecture of applications — complete isolation at the level of network, managements, failure handling is provided and the risks connected with consolidation of the ADC resources and transition from a physical medium to virtual (P2V) are removed; complete business flexibility — instant providing, removal and reassignment of virtual vADC blocks reduces time of implementation of new applications and services in virtual DPC; simple selection of resources — use of units of capacity and the centralized control system allows to operate easily with the virtual ADC resources, without difficult calculations. Radware is going to put on the market all VADI components in 2011.
