2021: Launch of card issuance in Novosibirsk

Raiffeisen Bank July 8, 2021 informed TAdviser about the launch of issuing cards through cartoons.

The first card card is installed in Novosibirsk, with its help, Raiffeisen Bank customers can instantly receive a re-issued debit card.

We are actively developing digital service formats: in 2020, remote design of our products for individuals and entrepreneurs became available in more than 300 cities of Russia. Cartoonists are a completely new channel for issuing cards. Now using our services in cities of digital presence will become even easier and more convenient, noted Maria Magdeeva, head of the sales channel department of Raiffeisen Bank.

To get a card, you don't have to pre-order it. Customers who have the option of re-issuing the card through the map will receive a notification about this through a mobile bank. The message will contain the individual code that will need to be entered on the map screen following the instructions. The card will independently determine which type of card should be issued to the client. It will be possible to activate the card in any convenient way - for example, on the website, in prilozheniirayffayzen Online or via the ATM.

The device is available around the clock, and the entire process of obtaining a card takes a few minutes. Unlike the usual postamats for orders from online stores, cartoons are subject to increased requirements for safety and integration with bank systems. Data exchange between cartoon software and banking services takes place through a specially developed API Raiffeisen Bank.

The pilot will last until the end of October 2021. For the duration of the pilot through the map, it will be possible only to re-issue the map if the validity of the previous one comes to an end. Customers can also still re-issue cards in the department.

If the pilot is successful, the network of devices will expand and the range of available cards will increase. For example, through cartoons, you can get a cashback card or quickly restore a lost card with a valid term.
