2023: Product Announcement
The Russian company RobBotKraft has created a device that will allow boats and boats to recognize dangerous objects. This was announced at the beginning of May 2023 to RIA Novosti by the press service of the NTI Project Support Fund.
Engineers have created a kind of technical vision for sea vessels, small river, including unmanned ones. It recognizes an object up to 700 meters in less than a second and helps build a trajectory to evade an obstacle. The device can divide objects into dangerous (networks, shoals, logs) and non-dangerous (garbage, birds). It warns of dangerous proximity with sound and light signals. At the same time, the crew does not need to control the water space.
The key in our development is the lack of the need for constant human control to observe the water area and make decisions on the trajectory of evading dangerous objects. Unlike other similar products on the world market, the cost of our development is five times lower in terms of the market for small vessels, - explained the founder of the project, head of RobBotKraft LLC (the company is a participant in the NTI Marinet market) Andrei Shapygin. |
According to him, about 20 million rubles are required for serial production of development. The costs of its creation amounted to about 10 million rubles. It is planned to release a simplified version of the technology, as well as basic and advanced. How they will differ is not specified by the beginning of May 2023.
The developers intend to enter mass production in 2023-2024. Shapygin believes that this will allow detecting potentially dangerous objects in time and reduce the risk of damage to ships, improve search and rescue operations, and allow navigation for drones.[1]
