At the end of November, 2018 at the AWS Re conference: Invent in Las Vegas the Amazon company announced a cloud service which will help developers to create the software for robots. The solution which is based on infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS) received the name RoboMaker.
RoboMaker represents the platform for creation of software for the robotic systems and is based on a cloud environment of development AWS Cloud9. Users of RoboMaker will be able to write the code in a cloud, to test it on the simulator with the open code Gazebo, and then to transfer result to the robotic systems, for example, in drones.
As of November 27, 2018 AWS RoboMaker is available to cloud clients of Amazon in some American states and the countries of Europe. Within the next year the geography of presence of service is going to be expanded significantly.
