The Moscow company Robocomponent has produced the first device in Russia that allows industrial robots of any manufacturer to perform locksmith operations. This became known in April 2025. The device is used to create parts of disc brakes of the high-speed electric train "Lastochka," where the robotic complex removes burrs from the elements of the brake system after their processing on milling machines.

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the tool used in the design of the robotic complex has no analogues in Russia and is offered at a lower price compared to foreign models. The device is specially designed by a Moscow company to expand the functionality of industrial robots.

The general director of the Robocomponent company Danil Shmakov stressed that the developed device opens up a new direction of application of industrial robotics in Russia - locksmith operations. Today, the most popular applications of industrial robots in the country are welding, moving parts and laying products. Robotization of locksmithing can increase the productivity and quality of products of domestic enterprises in the fields of mechanical engineering and metalworking.

The Robocomponent company is part of the Robotics industry cluster in Moscow and is engaged in the development and production of a domestic line of serial components for industrial robotic complexes. In 2024, the company received an order from BP Robotics, a Russian manufacturer and integrator of robotic complexes for automating various production processes in metalworking and the production of products from plastics and composite materials.^[1]
