Roselectronics: Patch cords for military equipment

The Roselectronics holding of the Rostec State Corporation on May 23, 2023 announced that it had mastered the mass production of patch cords using exclusively Russian components. These are domestic switching cables standardized according to the "acceptance 5" category, which involves their use in land, sea and aircraft equipment of military and dual use.

The articles are intended for operation in a composition structured cable systems based on copper twisted pair. Thanks to the presence of "acceptance 5," patch cords can be used in the manufacture, maintenance, modernization of BBST products, as well as for transmission data over closed channels communications between computers and network devices.

Testing of switching cables for compliance with the requirements of "acceptance 5" was carried out in specialized certified laboratories. During the tests, the reliability of data exchange through patch cords and the stability of traffic speed were confirmed.

The production of patch cords was launched at the Research Institute of Information Technologies (NIIIT), which is part of Roselectronics.

Switching cables with regular civil acceptance are on the market, however, only NIIIT produces patch cords standardized in the "acceptance 5" category using exclusively Russian components. Confirmation of compliance of our products with the requirements of the fifth acceptance indicates its increased reliability. Cables have various versions, which significantly expands the range of their use, - said Marina Deykina, General Director of NIIIT.
