2023: Development of Wearable Transformer Parameter Meters

On November 17, 2023, the Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation presented wearable transformer parameter meters replacing mobile laboratories. The equipment performs the entire required test cycle and can be used to control the parameters of substations, including at low temperatures and in hard-to-reach areas.

Meters of the "Coefficient-50" series were developed by the Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Instruments, which is part of Roselectronics. They are designed for use at transformer substations and provide measurements of parameters of single and three-phase transformers with current strength up to 50 A and voltage up to 500 V.

The device can write up to 700 results to its internal memory, and embedded software allows you to connect the meter to any computer or laptop and upload data in table format. Compact dimensions allow you to use equipment at remote facilities located in hard-to-reach areas.

The use of wearable monitoring devices allows you to replace mobile measuring laboratories, and only one specialist is enough for measurements. This is extremely important when it comes to fuel and energy complex enterprises with energy-intensive production, but often located far from the ground transport infrastructure. Now NIIEMP is completing preparations for serial production, and already in the first quarter of 2024 we will be ready to start deliveries, - said Vyacheslav Zuev, General Director of NIIEMP.
