2022: Probe station for measurement of electrical characteristics of devices is presented
On April 14, 2022, the holding Roselectronics State corporations Rostec presented a probe station for measuring the electrical characteristics of devices on undivided semiconductor plates. The equipment is designed for use in, to microelectronics scientific and educational centers in technical universities and is able to replace imported analogues.
The probe station was developed by the Tom Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (NIIPP, part of Roselectronics). The equipment has small dimensions, intuitive control and allows measuring the electrical characteristics of devices on undivided semiconductor plates with a diameter of up to 150 mm. The design of the product provides the possibility of installing up to four micropositioners at the same time, which guarantees the accuracy of measurements.
The probe station allows reliable measurements of each component in the process of designing and manufacturing monolithic integrated circuits directly on a semiconductor plate. For example, transistors, passive components, transmission line elements. Measurements help to check whether the manufactured components meet the initial requirements, as well as to build and verify mathematical models of the elements of the integrated circuit. This, in turn, reduces the time for the final product to enter the market.
The probe station of NIIPP can be part of a software and hardware complex for automating the measurement process.
"The use of measuring probe stations in microelectronics improves the accuracy of the characteristics of the products produced. Our equipment is developed as part of the import substitution program and in its technical parameters corresponds to the production samples of the USA, Germany and Taiwan. We are ready for mass production of equipment, the capacity of the enterprise allows us to produce up to 30 units per year, " noted Evgeny Monastarev, General Director of NIIPP |
