2022: Single Crystal Silicon Sample Presentation
Holding "Roselectronics" State Corporation "Rostec" presented a sample of monocrystalline silicon (diameter 107 mm), created entirely from Russian materials. According to TAdviser representatives of "Rostec," the technology will allow import substitution of foreign raw materials in the production of electronic power devices.
The material is created in several stages. First, monosilane is synthesized from metallurgical silicon powder or silicon dioxide, from which, in turn, polycrystalline silicon is obtained. It is on the basis of this semi-finished product that single-crystal silicon is created.
The technology was developed at the NPP "Salyut" holding "Roselectronics" together with the Institute of Microstructure Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Chemistry of High Purity Substances of the Russian Academy of Sciences by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Rostec has mastered the technology of its own production of Russian materials of monocrystalline silicon with a specific electrical resistance of more than 1000 Ohm-centimeters. Thanks to this, it is possible to completely import the supply of foreign raw materials, which was used for the production of silicon plates for electronic power devices, for example, transistors, thermistors, current power rectifiers, - said Alexander Bushuev, General Director of NPP Salyut. |
