Rosenergoatom Container solutions of DPC

On June 10, 2020 the operator of nuclear power stations Rosenergoatom which is a part of Rosatom state corporation presented to potential clients the infrastructure platform and the new offer - container solutions of DPC (KTsOD). Primary clients of this offer in Rosenergoatom, apparently, see the companies which are engaged in mining. By data Country of Rosatom, the corporate edition of Rosatom, 25 companies of which 80% of the Russian market of mining are the share were invited to the presentation. In addition to them invited several renderingovy companies which create difficult graphic content and video content^[1].

In the same place it is said: Rosenergoatom is sure that the world market of mining will be active within the next eight years, despite regular reduction of remuneration for each new link in a blockchain.

It is remarkable that at emphasis on mining in the announcement of the presentation published in the Strana Rosatom edition "cryptocurrency" or "bitcoin" are not mentioned in it though mine usually them. And on the presentation they practically did not sound. In the announcement, in particular, it is told about the market of mining and the companies, "using technology blockchain" as potential clients. The last, of course, is the cornerstone of cryptocurrencies, but the fact that, speaking about mining, the word "cryptocurrency" is not pronounced, looks a little atypical.

Perhaps, the company thus is very cautious because of the fresh bill "About Digital Financial Assets". At the beginning of June it was posted on the website of the State Duma to the second reading. Upgraded version of the bill prohibits turnover in Russia of the cryptocurrencies which are released under foreign regulation including air and bitcoin and also their mining and advertizing. Is going to accept it in an autumn session^[2].

The main audience of the presentation was made by miners, but the Deputy CEO – the director of economics and finance of Rosenergoatom Sergey Migalin emphasized that infrastructure products of the company can be used not only for mining. According to him, there are those whom rendering interests, there are people who implement a blockchain projects, connected with smart contracts, with issue of tokiyen.

Sergey Migalin added that the company, of course, monitors changes of the legislation and pointed that not only in Russia, but also in other countries the Central Banks, the governments aim to regulate the address of assets which can be treated as money. The company looks at all this with sufficient optimism and believe that common sense will prevail. You should not dramatize a situation, he considers. Migalin told that Rosenergoatom is ready to be the first in number of those who will work at the principles of the new legislation and will help the clients and partners to it to correspond.

At last, that the offer of Rosenergoatom for miners and other potential clients mentioned above includes. It is implemented on the infrastructure platform in perimeter of reference DPC of Rosatom Kalinin, within the second queue of this object. The first product – placement of container and modular DPCs of customers on this platform. It contains 30 konteynero-places, brought data into the companies. In each of them it is possible to place the equipment with power up to 1 MW.

The second product – a possibility of placement of the computing equipment of the client in container DPC of Rosenergoatom. With the systems of fire-prevention automatic equipment, gas fire extinguishing, monitoring and management of automatic system of ventilation, explained this specialized solution with the system of distribution of power supply during the presentation Sergey Nemchenkov. According to the corporate edition of Rosatom, make these containers in the Tver region. And in Rosenergoatom say that two clients already "moved into" in such container DPCs on the platform.

The third product is a continuation of the second, Nemchenkov told. He assumes the "turnkey" project on placement of the computing equipment of the client, provision of services of communication and service "smart hands" for hardware maintenance. In case of breakdown of the equipment of the customer some problems can be solved within service "smart hands" far off, but also creation of the service center near reference DPC for provision of services on repair of the equipment is not excluded later, told in Rosenergoatom. The last will depend on existence of demand for such services.

Since a certain volume of cooperation can also provide to engineering personnel of the customer which need to arrive to the platform for carrying out technical works free of charge hostel which is located in the territory of DPC, Sergey Migalin added to the words of the colleague.

One of the invited participants of the presentation noted that many miners have containers and, according to him, hardly they will want to accommodate in ready third-party. More likely, miners will prefer to place own containers on the platform and to resort to the help of services of maintenance, he believes.

At the end of 2019 the company brought reference DPC Kalinin on which infrastructure platform container solutions are provided now into commercial operation. It is located near the NPP of the same name in the city of Udomlya of the Tver region. The data center is used also for internal needs of Rosatom, and for provision of services to external clients.
