2024: "Plot-MF" performance

The Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation has completed tests of the Plot-MF complex for receiving data from hydrometeorological satellites for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This equipment will allow receiving satellite images in all modern formats for transmitting meteorological data in high quality. The customer will receive the first complexes in 2024. Rostec announced this on January 30, 2024.

"Plot-MF" is able to promptly receive, process and analyze hydrometeorological and geophysical information received from hydrometeorological spacecraft. The complex allows you to calculate the temperature of the surface of the land and sea, the height of the upper border of the clouds, the type and intensity of precipitation, the moisture content of the soil. The equipment displays the calculated data in the form of tables or superimposes on electronic cards.

Compared to the previous generation of similar equipment, Plot-MF receives higher quality satellite images. The equipment can be integrated into automated special-purpose control systems and used as part of geoinformation systems.

The complex "Plot of MF" was developed by the Research Institute of Television, which is part of Roselectronics .

The equipment can be used both at headquarters and in the field. It is well protected from mechanical damage and the effects of weather factors. In the near future, the institute will begin mass production of complexes. Under the contract until 2025, we will supply the customer with several dozen of these products. Their use in the troops will raise army meteorological exploration to a qualitatively new level, "said Alexei Nikitin, General Director of the Research Institute of Television.
