2019: The announcement of the modified electrochrome for application in the field of design and advertizing

The electromanaged material chameleon developed in Ruselectronics holding of state corporation" Rostec" for equipment of "future soldier" will be able to be applied in production of elements of an interior and advertizing carriers. Rostec reported about it on April 5, 2019.

The specialized electromanaged material — electrochrome — is created by specialists of TsNITI Technomash (enters into Ruselectronics). According to the statement of developers, material is capable to change color depending on the arriving electric signals. On a status April its color line allows "recolour" material from blue to yellow through green, from red to yellow through orange. Besides, scientists managed to receive brown electrochrome which will be able to be used by military for creation of adaptive camouflage coverings. The layer-by-layer combination of elektrokhrom is applied to obtaining difficult multi-color drawings.

Besides, according to creators of material, it is also capable to become transparent that allows to create the "smart" glass changing transparency at electricity feed-in on its basis. The electromanaged windows which can become opaque at the request of the owner will be able to become a modern alternative to curtains and blinds.

Elektrokhroma — a striking example of conversion of military developments in civil industries. Initially it was developed for creation of masking of soldiers and military equipment. But we saw interest of the market in creation of the innovation civil products on the basis of this technology — the chief executive of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko told.

According to Oleg Yevtushenko, competitive advantage of electrochrome is the low power consumption therefore it can be demanded for creation of advertizing billboards, "smart" windows and other products.

Developers of electrochrome considerably expanded its opportunities from the moment of the announcement of material in August, 2018 thanks to what interest in it was already shown by design bureau and producers of building materials. So, as of April 5 negotiations with the potential partners interested in creation of elements of internal finishing of premises and advertizing carriers on the basis of electrochromic materials are already conducted, the chief executive of Rostec added.

2018: The announcement of the electromanaged material

For the first time the electromanaged material was provided in August, 2018. Properties of electrochrome were shown on the example of a prototype of a helmet of perspective equipment of the military personnel capable to change color depending on the masked surface and the environment.
