SAP HANA Explorer

To SAP there is a work on the technologies of the business analysis of new generation using HANA DBMS — it is confirmed by the document of the company supplied with a signature stamp "is strictly confidential", but available after registration on the website of SAP.

Among developments — the new version of the instrument of data visualization of Explorer. As speaks in the document, the "classical" stack of BI consists of the level of rendering of user interfaces (User Interface, UI), a web application server for the orchestration and formation of UI, BI services and a third-party database. And the stack of HANA Explorer will consist of the browser in which works the UI application running the orchestration at HTML5/JS, and the HANA platform providing a hosting of BI services. Allegedly, network configuring of a system will not be required as the only protocol of access will be (HTTPs). The common goal — to create "the uniform base of BI" of two-level architecture in which UI is generated on HTML for all platforms and HANA provides management of lifecycle of content and other functions.

Also Visual Analytic Language, the visualization mechanism is developed for HANA Explorer in the form of JavaScript library for an output of displays in the SVG format. SAP emphasizes that the concepts provided in the document not necessarily will be realized in products of the company.
