SAP SEM-BPS

The module of business planning and modeling (SEM-BPS) allows to develop the consecutive and real strategic business plan for all group taking into account different perspectives. In the strategic plan — unlike operating plans — the detail level goes down, but at the same time the plan is developed on longer term.

Using SEM-BPS it is possible to write and estimate aggregated data of planning that is convenient for collecting and maintaining data from different sections of plans in one unified type.

The up-to-date and planned data processed using SEM-BPS automatically are selected from the accounting systems and register in information storage SAP-BW. Business planning is based on the same conceptual and structural basis, as components SEM-BIC and SEM-CPM.

Defining the fields of planning, you refer to information cubes of SAP BW which provide necessary characteristics and key indicators.

For providing an interactive mode of planning of SEM-BPS integration into Microsoft Excel through SEM-BPS planning features is provided. The planned documents created and edited using Microsoft Excel can be saved in a SAP system (together with the set configurations of the plan).
