2018: Project closure
On May 23, 2018 Medtronic announced the refusal of further development of a mobile system of cardiomonitoring of SEEQ Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT) System to concentrate on development of other solution with similar functionality — Reveal LINQ Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM).
Medtronic will continue to service patients who were already connected to SEEQ MCT, and doctors can place online orders for new patients of SEEQ till May 25, 2018. Given and account of patients of SEEQ MCT will be available via the SEEQ Online Reporting system till August 31, 2018. After this date Medtronic will send reports of patients of SEEQ MCT at the request of the client.
The SEEQ MCT system started in 2014 was expected use within 30 days and less for identification and determination of the reason of violations of a warm rhythm. A system was developed by Corventis company and Medtronic is purchased. SEEQ MCT is automatically activated at attachment of the figurative sensor to skin – the sensor continuously fixes a warm rhythm within 30 days. A wireless waterproof system allows to carry the sensor about 15 mm in size imperceptibly under clothes and to control a warm rhythm even during exercises, a shower or a dream.
The SEEQ MCT system remotely estimates a warm rhythm and automatically sends important data through Bluetooth and cellular communication to the Center of monitoring Medtronic. In addition a system is supplied with the alarm button which is used by patients at emergence of symptoms – by its clicking data also automatically are sent to the center. The center of monitoring, in turn, carries out the analysis and prepares the report for the attending physician. A system is shown for a research of patients with such symptoms as interruptions in work of heart, dizziness, loss of consciousness or short wind, however without pathological changes at holterovsky monitoring.
However Medtronic preferred to advance the Reveal LINQ Insertable Cardiac Monitoring (ICM) system which can be used for control of a rhythm of heart within three years. Reveal LINQ ICM is intended for patients with very seldom arising violations of a rhythm.[1]
