SNMP protocol OPC server

The SNMP protocol OPC server - the OPC server provides to OPC clients (any modern SCADA systems, for example, the SCADA KRUG-2000), such parameters as existence of breaks in communication lines, quantity of network traffic, etc.

The OPC server supports the most widespread SNMP standards (SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c). Support of the connected MIB modules allows to substitute automatically names of tags according to their description in management information bases (MIB modules) and to receive additional attributes for some variables (for example, values of quality, border, etc.). Search of network devices and automatic adding of SNMP parameters in the OPC server allows to simplify configuring process considerably.

Main Functions

• Organization of information exchange with network devices for the SNMP protocol of versions of SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c
• Interaction with ORS-clients according to the OPC Data Access specification of version 2.05a
• Automatic search and diagnostics of support of the SNMP protocol network devices
• Possibility of loading of MIB modules for support of expanded parameters of devices
• An opportunity of both automatic adding of SNMP parameters, and manual, with indication of SNMP parameter "alias".

• Processor frequency – 1 GHz and above
• Amount of RAM – not less than 256 MB
• The volume of a free space on the hard drive – 30 MB.

• For acquaintance with the software product it is possible to use free of charge 30 tags without time limit. For work with the number of tags more than 30 it is possible to use 30-day full-function a trial period.

2015: "CIRCLE" released the version of the OPC server of the SNMP 2.2 protocol

On June 4, 2015 KRUG company announced release of the version of the OPC server of the SNMP protocol.

Functions are added to version 2.2 of the OPC server of the SNMP protocol:

• possibility of setup of the period of poll of subscribers
• possibility of an exception of poll for a certain time subscribers with whom there is no communication.

Change of the period of poll of subscribers allows to regulate intensity of information exchange with subscribers depending on their opportunities and project requirements.

The possibility of a temporary exception of poll of subscribers with whom there is no communication allows to reduce a cycle of poll of available subscribers by decrease in frequency of attempts of installation of communication with the absent subscribers. Thus, the maximum high-speed performance at data acquisition from valid subscribers is reached.
