2021: Availability to chips 1888TH018, 1888VS048, 1888VM018A and K1879HB1Ya
STC "Module" February 25, 2021 announced the release of an updated software package for several SBIS at once. Updated ON now it is available to chips 1888TH018, 1888VS048, 1888VM018A and K1879HB1Ya.
As part of the update, all supported chips were combined into a single source code branch, and the previous version kernels Linux was upgraded to version 5.5.0.
For chips based on the processor PowerPC core, a OpenOCD branch is now available to debug user software using inexpensive and affordable JTAG adapters.
For SBIS 1888TX018, 1888VS048, 1888VM018A, the possibility of using the U-Boot loader, version 2020.04,
The possibility of use of a kernel of Linux OS is available to GSI 1888TH018, 1888VS048, 1888VM018A, K1879HB1Ya.
Additionally, the source codes of the Bare Metal SDK for the development of test programs for the SBIS of the development of ZAO NTC "Module" in an environment without an operating system are opened.
The edcltool utility has been replaced with a cross-platform rumboot-tools tool set to perform typical tasks during interaction with tool modules, as well as to simplify the development and debugging of applications in environments without an operating system. The rumboot-tools set includes:
- rumboot-packimage is a utility for adding, validating, and updating checksums of secondary loader executable files. Supports both Rumboot ROM loader-based chips (v1, v2) and older formats;
- rumboot-xrun is a utility for running secondary loader images on tool modules. Both EDCL and serial port downloads are supported (for chips with RumBoot v2 and above);
- rumboot-xflash - a utility for intra-circuit programming of memory connected to tool boards;
- rumboot-daemon is a tool for sharing tool modules and remote debugging.
