STOR-M (Aley Archive)

STOR-M (Aley Archive) is the system of electronic archive developed by Alee Software company and intended for the organization of long-term storage of the electronic documents significant for business. the posledny version - Aley Archive 3.0 - appeared on August 20, 2007.^[1]

A system has 2 client interfaces: the complete client (it is provided to editors of a system for change of data), and the web interface organizing access to a system through a local network or the Internet on viewing, the organization of search and downloading of documents via the browser.

Module AMS (message exchange)

• Archive - the basic module which is responsible for formation of a document file, their classification using attributes and reference books, upload of documents in a system and implementation of context and full-text search.
• The security system is responsible for registration of users, formation the politician of access and distribution of the access levels from directories to single documents and attributes on them. A system conducts general audit on navigation of users on structure of archive, viewing and modification of objects. Work with external LDAP and the SSO mode is possible.
• Line input of documents - the tool allowing to bring to a system and to index large volumes of documents. When using this tool input and indexation of the document in a system in general makes about 30-40 seconds on 1 document.
• The message exchange system (AMS) serves for message exchange, purpose of tasks and tracking of the status of their accomplishment. Information on tasks circulates in an internal format of a system; the copy of a task can be also sent to the user's e-mail.
• The module of a subscription and mailing of notifications is responsible for a subscription of users or user groups for notifications on different events of a system (emergence of new documents, change and adding of attributes, change of their value and others).
• The module of export of data provides the unloading of data complete or partial (by different criteria), from a system in different formats.

Add-on modules

• The module of selection (check) will organize data samplings by certain criteria, work with selections and end-to-end printing. This module is intended generally for archives financial (transfer to the controlling and tax authorities) and the project documentation (transfer to clients, contractors or partners).
• The module of updating will organize process of maintenance of documents of a system in current status (the specific module, is generally intended for archives of the specifications and technical documentation).
• Printing of the considered copies allows to keep track of the number of the made copies of the documents located in a system, the author of the copy, creating at the same time records on the document in the form of watermarks.
• Personal folders represent additional the function to the basic module and the web client allowing users of a system to create inside personal spaces in the form of personal folders with data from a system.
• Image Server is responsible for formation of images of the initial document in the PDF format displayed in system interfaces instead of the main document. Thus protection of files in an initial format will be organized, due to page-by-page display load of network decreases, at the same time the file can be closed on printing, editing and downloading.
• OCR is the module which is in addition connected to basic, allowing to recognize in the background documents and to index data retrieveds for the organization of full-text search among graphic documents.
• The module of a kriptovaniye allows to organize additional protection by a kriptovaniye of the data located on the server or loaded from the complete client.

Shortcomings

• Lack of formation of a tough way of circulation of tasks in a system;
• The web interface does not implement content editing function (the complete client is for this purpose necessary).
