2020: Announcement of Sabre Travel AI

On October 26, 2020 the Sabre Corporation company, the supplier of technologies and the software for the tourism industry, announced development of a technology platform, joint with Google, based on artificial intelligence (AI).

According to the company, the technology which received the name Sabre Travel AITM uses developments of Google in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It will allow clients of Sabre to provide the most relevant and personalized content meeting needs of modern travelers. Sabre is going to integrate functionality of Sabre Travel AI in a row of the products at the beginning of 2021.

Sabre Travel AI will provide technological capabilities of the next generation which will enrich the products Sabre for retail, distribution and rendering of services. Sabre Travel AI works at artificial intelligence technologies and machine learning of Google Cloud which will recognize analyze and predict a consumer behavior, using information on purchases in real time and complex industry data.

This technology is designed to help airlines, to the agencies, corporations, hotels and other travel agencies to bring the strategy of retail and digital customer interaction to the following level. They will be able to provide personalisation of service, providing to travelers the necessary offer in the correct time and in suitable channels.

It is expected that in the future clients of Sabre will be able to integrate seamlessly with Sabre Travel AI own developments. Sabre Travel AI will open for them access to different cloud tools which will allow to prepare and store data sets, to supplement them own and third-party databases, to quickly hold testings in the experimental environment, to create and unroll own models of machine learning, to estimate their efficiency, to quickly optimize, implement and scale different solutions.

Sabre Travel AI will help to accelerate digital transformation of Sabre thanks to product development and the solutions focused on the current and future demands of her clients. The company emphasizes that her strategic partners, including Google, have no right of access or use of any internal data of the Company and its clients. The company completely manages how these data are stored in Google Cloud.

Sabre and Google Cloud combined efforts in January, 2020. Their partnership is directed to thinking up, developing and unrolling technologies which will contribute to the development of an ecosystem of tourism. Sabre Travel AI – one of results of this work. Over time it is going to implement this intellectual technology in all products Sabre for omnichannel retail, distribution and rendering of services.

Sabre already uses models of machine learning in products, such as dynamic availability and dynamic pricing of additional services. Within partnership with the Google Company she intends to continue to create technologies using opportunities of Sabre Travel AI and to start solutions for retail at the beginning of 2021.
