With this method, a laser beam is sent to the patient's skin and the presence of certain substances in the skin is recorded by changes in the spectrum of scattered radiation, the press service of the university noted.
The installation can be placed on a table in the office of a dermatologist. It will need to be connected to a computer or laptop with appropriate software, which is also being developed by scientists in Samara.
