2023: Complaints on a crooked screen
Owners of the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra complain about the strange deformation of the display. Reports of this began to arrive in the second half of February 2023.
The device is equipped with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a resolution of 3088 × 1440 pixels (Quad HD + format) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The dissatisfaction of users is due to the fact that in the lower right or left part of this panel there is a strange "bubble effect." According to some owners of the new gadget, it looks like the display itself has peeled off the protective glass.
Galaxy S23 Ultra owners on social media wonder if their smartphone is defective. Moreover, the screen itself functions properly: users did not reveal any other visible shortcomings. It is also reported that in most cases you need to take a very close look or look at the device at a strictly defined angle in order to notice the "artifact."
Samsung promptly responded to user complaints, stating that this feature is not a marriage or any malfunction. The fact is that the display of the smartphone consists of many different layers compressed to protect against water and dust. Therefore, refraction of light, according to the South Korean company, can lead to distortion of the image on the screen.
All Samsung products have undergone strict internal quality control. The display panel is a complex module consisting of several components (strong glass, dusty and waterproof layers, etc.). In high light and at certain angles, distortions can be seen as a result of light refraction. This is normal and does not affect the operation and service life of the product, says the Samsung website.[1] |
