2020: Start of the program in Russia
On June 17, 2020 Samsung announced start in Russia of the Samsung Upgrade program allowing to lease smartphones and to pay for their use in monthly small amounts.
To use service, the buyer in Russia needs to issue the online purchasing request according to the Samsung Upgrade program, and after approval signs the agreement and goes to brand store. He receives the smartphone, begins to use it and then should enter a certain payment every month. In a year or after 12 payments the participant of the program can exchange this smartphone for new model free of charge.
Within Samsung Upgrade a free delivery of smartphones across all Russia and more advantageous price offer – 50% of the total cost of a tube is offered. For example, year of use of a leader of Galaxy S20 will cost 33,595 rubles instead of 69,990 rub, and monthly payment will make 3549 rubles
The operator of the program – Forward Leasing – accepts payment from any bank cards in a personal account on the website or in mobile application. The cost of the agreement includes insurance of the device with a possibility of free single replacement of the broken screen or back panel in the authorized service center Samsung within one year.
It is possible to redeem the smartphone without any commission. For this purpose at any time it is necessary to pay all payments under the agreement in a personal account. It is possible to return or exchange the smartphone for new after the sixth payment, having paid in addition depending on model 3,900 rubles or 4,900 rubles provided that the handed-over smartphone is in a status "as new". After the 12th payment the return or exchange commission for new is not levied. At return or exchange for a new remaining balance of payments for the former device it is not necessary to enter — economy in 50% of cost of the smartphone is so reached.[1]
