2024: Product Announcement
In May 2024, the St. Petersburg company Navis presented the Sardine keyless boat. According to the manufacturer, the new vessel will differ from its well-known domestic counterparts in its non-standard design and hull shape.
The used shape of the body allows, due to a significant decrease in side and keel pitching, to radically reduce the measurement errors of the BACK equipment and contributes to an increase in observation accuracy. In addition, the advantage of this shape of the hull is the excellent seaworthiness, confirmed by the practice of using the Wave Piering concept both on high-speed ships and the operation of similar foreign autonomous navigation ships, the press service of the Navis company reports. |
According to the developers, the keystone boat received a low center of gravity thanks to the use of a fin bulb-keel with batteries and equipment placed in it, which allows you to stabilize the ship when moving in conditions of excitement. Thanks to this, the boat can be used for hydrography and other tasks that require high measurement accuracy, the company said.
"Sardine" is equipped with a water-jet propulsor with an all-angle nozzle and two thrusters, which provide the possibility of high-precision retention on a given trajectory at low speeds, as well as achievement of dynamic positioning goals.
The length of the vessel is 5.75 meters, width - 1.2 meters, standard displacement - 1.2 tons. The first sea trials of the boat are scheduled for the summer of 2024, and by mid-May 2024, work on the manufacture of the hull was completed, engines and propellers are being installed. The boat is being developed jointly by Navis and Company Marine[1]
