2022: Creating a Solution
The SberDevices team has created a set of Software Development Kit (Software Development Kit), which allows developers of applications with augmented or virtual reality to add high-quality voice control in Russian. This development can be used to expand the functionality of gaming and educational VR projects, in virtual fitting rooms, as well as in the creation of metaverse. Sberbank announced this on June 24, 2022.
The solution allows you to connect to applications without additional development, including those working with VR helmets, SmartSpeech recognition and speech generation technologies from SberDevices. For example, in an application for a virtual office, the developer will be able to add the function of creating notes using voice input. In the application for conducting VR conferences, you can embed the function of adding new participants with a voice command, for example: "Call Andrei."
Voice control is also important in navigating virtual space: it will allow the user to move using voice commands, for example, "teleport me to the living room." Virtual and augmented reality applications for smartphones often assume the need to keep your phone in front of you, voice control frees the user's hands and can make this experience more comfortable and secure.
The possibility of voice control is especially relevant in virtual and augmented reality, since it is perceived as a more natural continuation of the real experience of interaction in three-dimensional space. And due to the fact that Software Development Kit (SDK)|the SDK was created to easily integrate the SmartSpeech API into products developed on one of the most popular platforms - Unity - a significant number of developers will be able to take advantage of the addition of voice control to their applications, "said Denis Filippov, CEO of SberDevices, Vice President for Digital Surfaces Salyut Sberbank. |
