Scientists from the Laboratory artificial intelligence and the Center for the Health Industry Sberbank have begun to create GigaPevt, a multimodal medical diagnostic assistant based on a large language model. This GigaChat technology is based on the use of contactless methods for measuring medical parameters in combination with the dialog capabilities of modern large language models. This was announced on June 27, 2024 by Sberbank.

The first component of the assistant significantly expands the boundaries of human perception: the technology of remote photopletismography allows you to evaluate key sociodemographic indicators and some medical parameters, for example, the value of the body mass index, from the video of the face. And its second component, based on the GigaChat model, helps to competently build and implement a medical consultation scenario.

The technology has great potential for use in telemedicine: it allows you to automate the most routine stages of medical admission and significantly increase the efficiency of the doctor.
