2023: Product Announcement
At the end of March 2023, Spektr-Engineering spoke about the creation of an underwater drone called Scat, which is designed for monitoring, reconnaissance and demining. The cost of the drone is 1.5 million rubles, said Andrei Bratenkov, executive director of the design bureau.
The same aviation technologies were used in the creation of the drone: the flight controller allows the operator to more efficiently control the device from the ground. "Skat" is designed to monitor hydraulic structures, mine clearance, reconnaissance, lifting objects from a depth of up to 100 meters, - he said in a conversation with TASS. |
Bratenkov stressed that the unmanned vehicle was created taking into account the requests of the Russian military. According to him, the scouts expressed the desire that an underwater drone be created, which can be launched to the opposite shore to lay a mine at the edge of the water. The Skat developed by us is fully suitable for this task, he noted.
The weight of the drone is 4.7 kg. It can reach speeds of up to 9 km/h. By the end of March 2023, a prototype of Skata was created, but Bratenkov announced the bureau's readiness to establish its production in small batches.
The Spektr-Engineering design bureau was registered in 2019 in Berdsk, Novosibirsk Region. Its main activity is engineering engineering and provision of technical advice.[1]
Earlier, Bratenkov said that specialists from Spektr-Engineering Design Bureau have developed a robotic platform for the destruction of armored vehicles. The ground drone can carry five kilograms of payload.
