HyperPOD is the technological solution for containerization of hot or cold zones of machine halls of DPCs and server
On July 11, 2017 the Schneider Electric company presented the solution for containerization of hot or cold zones in machine halls of DPCs and server - HyperPOD. The technology is intended for decrease in the cost level on operation, increase in energy efficiency, flexibility and scalability.
The solution HyperPod which is a part of the hardware-software EcoStruxure platform allows to set elements of engineering infrastructure even before installation of the rack equipment. Its unique innovation design allows use of any cabinets up to 52U high, including, previously filled with the equipment. It considerably reduces labor costs, reduces time of deployment of the equipment and provides up to 15% of decrease in capital costs. Width of the isolated zone is from 900 mm to 1800 mm. Construction of HyperPod supports multimodular configurations with a step till 8-12 of cabinets and gives the chance to easily set or move them in use. Solution modules easily adapt to any electric power supply systems, fire extinguishing and coolings - are available different options of a roof and air ducts that allows to use the solution with the perimeter, intra line and centralized conditioning. HyperPod supports three options of distribution of power supply: buslines, intra line building block system or a system a point-to-point with the integrated distribution cabinets in a row end face.
As developers said, HyperPOD is focused on processes of upgrade acting and equipment of machine halls of DPCs and server low or average density.
Self-supported modular construction is mounted in the server hall and allows to set elements of engineering infrastructure even before installation of the rack equipment, gives the chance to set or move cabinets in use, free is resistant - places are closed by full-size stubs. Width of the isolated zone of 900 mm or 1200 mm, height - up to 3700 mm. From an end face sliding doors are established that provides flexibility and minimizes specifics in planning of architecture of the machine hall, there is a possibility of installation of construction by one party to a wall.
Construction of HyperPOD does not impose special requirements and restrictions to the installed equipment and is compatible to cabinets of arbitrary width and up to 52U high. Support of multimodular configurations and a possibility of expansion with a step of 8-12 racks is provided (on 4-6 in each row). The modules HyperPOD are integrated with different types of the systems of distribution of power supply, fire extinguishing and cooling.
HyperPOD can equip with additional tiers of trays for cables, monitoring systems, internal lighting, video surveillance and access control - integration with adjacent subsystems of data center will not cause in the customer of difficulties. Modular assembly is most simplified and intuitive, and existence of service of installation and supervision of erection allows to lower labor costs on system deployment.
