Secret MDM is a technology for protecting data on mobile devices and managing corporate mobility.

2016: Secret MDM Release

On December 15, 2016, Security Code announced the release of the Secret MDM product for enterprise mobility management and data protection on mobile devices.

According to the company's analytical study of corporate mobility, users are not responsible enough for protecting corporate data stored and transmitted by devices, which makes the mobile device vulnerable to attackers. Almost half (48%) of managers save working information on devices, but there are no security policies configured on them, and every third mobile device does not have a login password. As a result, information can be easily intercepted by attackers, which will lead to the loss of confidential data.

To solve these issues, the Secret MDM mobile device management and protection tool has been created. The product helps centrally set security policies on tens of thousands of devices and monitors their security status. If a device is stolen or lost, the administrator's command blocks it, deletes applications with data, or completely destroys it. Secret MDM will help you find a smartphone or tablet - it will display its latest coordinates.

Secret MDM supports mobile devices on the Android, iOS platform. If there is no permanent connection to the MDM server, the security policies remain in effect.

We created Secret MDM, guided by the need of the business to simultaneously provide protection and convenient management of mobile devices and applications that employees use to receive corporate mail or connect to IT services. As a result, we managed to implement a product that is suitable for organizations of various sizes: for small companies we have a service in the cloud, for large ones we have support for managing tens of thousands of devices both according to the SaaS model and by deploying the product in our own infrastructure. We consider Secret MDM as a platform for distributing enterprise services to mobile devices, implemented in a secure version. Among such services can be access to corporate resources, e-mail, portal, SIP telephony, etc. In the future, we see Secret MDM in a single concept with workstation protection and will implement it. The "security code" provides an approach to deal with the key problem of BYOD, to eliminate the main obstacle to using corporate mobility - this is the user's distrust in including a personal device in the corporate environment. Using Secret MDM solves this problem: on the one hand, we expand the functionality of using mobile devices for work tasks, on the other, we give the Enterprise segment tools for centralized monitoring and management, while maintaining the privacy of users' personal data. In fact, we are changing the paradigm: the point of making a decision on the security of private information when applying the BYOD approach is the employee himself, and not the administrator of the employer company.
