2021: Launch a cloud platform for energy billing
On April 28, 2021, Sigma, an expert in the field of digitalization of energy and housing and communal services, as part of the update of the Personal Account of a Legal Entity service, released a platform for working with energy billing based on private cloud. More than 30 services of the company already work on a single platform.
The microservice approach implemented in the platform makes it easier to work with data and take advantage of the modular architecture, choosing only those systems in the cloud that are needed to solve specific business tasks. This is one of the most current IT trends: according to IDC forecasts, by 2022, 90% of all applications will be based on the architecture of cloud microservices. The technology is actively used by giants such as Amazon, Google, Netflix, Twitter, etc. It allows you to develop and update services and applications independently of each other, manage resources, and quickly increase capacity where necessary. The cloud model will also speed up the development process and make work in the system easier, more transparent and more convenient for both employees of energy retail companies and end users - subscribers, the company noted.
The use of cloud technologies will allow Sigma to achieve another global goal - to create a single modern and recognizable service, where in 2 clicks it will be possible to pay for light, housing and communal services or overhaul in any city and for any object: apartment, cottage or commercial premises. Work also continues on updating the design and functionality of the Personal Office of legal entities, which will be built on the basis of its own product SIGMA Dynamic UI.
"With the help of cloud microservices, we can flexibly manage our products within a single ecosystem and dynamically develop them in accordance with the current energy trends and business tasks of our customers," said Alexander Pestunov, Deputy General Director of Sigma. |
