2023: Ability to obtain a legally relevant mobile electronic signature

Sign.Me has added the ability to obtain a legally significant mobile electronic signature (EP) online in a few minutes. All that is required of the user is to have a verified account on Public services and a smartphone. The identity of the applicant is confirmed through the "Unified Identification and Authorization System" (ESIA). Such a method is suitable for issuing an enhanced unqualified electronic signature (NEP). Sign.Me (SM) announced this on November 8, 2023.

Russia The NEP certificate can be issued only after the identity of the applicant is identified. certification center (CA) The Federal Law "On Electronic Signature" provides for two types of identification when issuing NEP: full-time and using ESIA. In the first case, the certificate is issued only after a visit to the certification center, and in the second - immediately after confirmation through the Public services, only a verified account is needed, which about 70% of residents have. RUSSIAN FEDERATION The use state of the identification infrastructure not only speeds up the process of obtaining a signature, but also is an additional guarantor of security for all participants in the document flow, reducing to zero the likelihood of using fake documents and other fraudulent schemes.

To obtain an enhanced electronic signature without a personal visit to the certification center, it is enough to install the Sign.Me application and confirm the issue of the EP certificate using the Public services. This takes about three minutes, after which you can immediately sign a document of any format and send it directly from the application by e-mail or to instant messengers.

Our task is to create products that make people's lives better and help any business be at the forefront of digitalization. This would be much more difficult without the supportive environment created by the state. Developed government digital services and progressive regulatory policies allow businesses to launch truly convenient solutions for the entire population. Everyone benefits from this: society, the state and business. Our new product is a great example of such synergy. As an IT company, we create a convenient service, and thanks to ESIA it can be used by a really large number of people and organizations,

Enhanced unqualified electronic signature is created using cryptographic operations and has a high degree of protection. It allows you to confirm who exactly signed the document, as well as make sure that the document did not change after signing. NEP is suitable for lease agreements, personnel documents, service contracts, closing documents, documents for insurance companies and many others. Exceptions are only some types of documents: for example, an invoice, a contract for the sale and purchase of real estate or a car, and a communication contract when receiving a SIM card remotely. This makes this type of signature universal: it will suit both individuals and entrepreneurs. For the latter, Sign.Me has a flexible tariff, at which the company has the opportunity to pay for the issuance of signatures for its customers and, thus, digitize the entire external document flow, making it comfortable for end consumers.

Sign.Me provides not only the very possibility of signing EP documents, but also a large number of interfaces that make its use convenient and accessible to everyone. To sign a document, it is not necessary to download or upload it to a separate folder: the user can send the file for signature directly from the messenger or mail client. If the document is on a PC or tablet, the user does not have to send it to the application manually: you can download it to your personal account in the web version and go to Sign.Me on your smartphone only to sign. You can send a signed document to any person from the contact list or by phone number, as well as to instant messengers, email and even a message on social networks. Signed documents are saved in the application, they can also be downloaded to a convenient folder in a smartphone.

It is still possible to obtain a Sign.Me mobile electronic signature through personal identification at the certification center. This method is suitable for registration of NEP by users who do not have a confirmed account on Public services, as well as those who need a qualified electronic signature (KEP).

Sign.Me implements the issuance of unqualified certificates with confirmation through the ESIA together with a partner who acts as a certification center - LLC "iT Monitoring." This company is also an accredited CA and is engaged in the issuance of qualified certificates.
