Skillaz is a technology for automating selection and decision-making, which includes robotic processing of job boards, social media and digital evaluation of candidates with subsequent analytics based on Machine Learning.

How does it work

Skillaz technology turns candidate evaluation into an automatic process. The candidate successively goes through several stages online: informing and answering frequently asked questions, "selling" a vacancy and an employer, several types of digital assessment. As a result, only evaluated, relevant (necessary) candidates motivated to work for this particular employer fall to recruiters. Throughout the Skillaz digital interview process, the candidate is accompanied by notifications through letters, online chat, SMS and autocall.

The platform can be embedded in the corporate site as a plugin.

Skillaz helps mass recruitment to companies with an extensive regional network. Skillaz online interviews allow you to evaluate the applicant according to various criteria and invite to a personal meeting with recruiters only the most suitable candidates who are motivated to work for this particular employer. During an interview, the system uses video recognition technology to analyze a candidate's behavior during an interview. After the interview, Skillaz uses machine learning to process data on candidates for selection, evaluates the performance of new employees 6 and 12 months after starting work in the company. As a result, the system helps HR departments create a portrait of the ideal candidate in order to reduce the time and cost of finding new employees, as well as further automate decision-making processes when searching for personnel.

Launch of the module "Org. structure "

On November 13, 2025, Skillaz announced the launch of the Org. structure "- a tool for managing people, teams and functions within a company. This module has become part of the Skillaz HCM HR platform and is a Russian solution that combines administrative and functional structure management, support for several legal entities and dual subordination in a single interface. The module was created from scratch and is fully developed using Skillaz's own technologies.

Company structure

According to the company, the module combines a wide range of functionality and modern design: a clean interface, thoughtful navigation and three display formats - a list, cards and a tree. This optimizes the search, analysis, and handling of organizational data for HR, managers, and employees.

Now companies have access to a double section of the organizational structure:

  • Administrative shows the classic hierarchy of subordination: departments, departments, heads
  • Functional - distribution of functions within the company (sales, marketing, finance, HR, etc.) with the ability to display complex, multi-level hierarchies

Several legal entities and double subordination are supported. This helps you see the real structure of the business, plan the load, manage teams and functions without losing context.

The organizational structure can be opened in three formats:

  • List - for working with data. You can select the required columns (position, department, legal entity, function, etc.) and save filters for your tasks
  • Cards - for communication: with photos, contacts and the ability to add colleagues to favorites
  • Orgderevo - for visual analysis of the structure and connections between people and divisions. Find Me helps you quickly see where the user is in the tree and who works nearby

Cards

You can also now switch the display view through the Grouping feature:

  • by employee hierarchy (managers → subordinates)
  • by division hierarchy (parent → subsidiary)
  • by functional structure

And each unit now has its own card with contacts, a list of employees and additional information - for example, address and hours of work.

The module implements a flexible filter panel, which can be configured for yourself. The user selects the parameters necessary for daily work - for example, grade, location, function or employee status. The system remembers the selected set and saves it for the next sessions, which saves time and makes navigating the organizational structure much more convenient.

Filters are not reset during transitions - each user retains his own individual appearance. HR sees grads and statuses, manager sees offices and teams, analyst sees legal entities or functions. This turns the organizational structure into a flexible tool for different roles within the company.

In large companies, searching by organizational structure often turns into a difficult task due to the large amount of data. Groups have appeared in Skillaz that allow you to combine employees by common characteristics - experience, position, function, manager, or department.

Groups

This makes analysis and work with personnel data much faster:

  • HRs can find probation employees in one click to run 360 survey or complete paperwork
  • administrators - see who is not tied to the business unit
  • managers - view the structure of your team in the context of legal entities or functions

This approach eliminates the need to make separate uploads and helps make decisions right in the system interface.

"Org. structure "turns the traditional orgschema into a full-fledged interaction tool:

  • HR Gets Up-to-Date Data Source and Analytics Tool
  • Managers - the ability to manage teams in real time
  • Employees are a convenient way to understand how a company works and quickly find the right people

Advanced OpenAPI

On the Skillaz HR process automation platform, an update has appeared that significantly expands the possibilities of integration with external systems, optimizes automatic processes and improves the convenience of working with data. Skillaz announced this on August 20, 2025.

The key change was the advanced OpenAPI: through integrations, you can now transmit comments, tags and block test results. This reduces manual entry and allows you to quickly adapt the product to the IT landscape of any company. This level of integration flexibility, experts say, is not yet common even in corporate HR platforms, and is especially in demand in a segment with a large volume of automated processes.

In addition, in the "Candidate Profiles" and "Vacancies" there was a direct upload of data to the XLSX format, which simplifies analytics and excludes intermediate steps. Automatic publishing and job closures are optimized - now the rules that automatically publish jobs and remove them from publishing are executed faster, and the system displays the status and comment on each automatic activity.

Additional improvements include an updated password policy that prohibits the use of personal and corporate data as password elements. This approach reduces the risk of hacking and compromising accounts. This is especially important for companies where HR systems contain arrays of personal data of candidates and employees. Strengthening protection at the level of basic operations reduces the likelihood of leaks, potential fines for violation of personal data legislation and reputational risks, which means it directly affects the sustainability of the business.

{{quote "We see that the speed and flexibility of integrations become determining factors for large companies when choosing an HR platform. In this release, we made it possible to implement "Selection" in any IT landscape without long and complex adaptations, while maintaining a high level of security, "said Andrey Sinyakin, Skillaz Product Director. }}

Goals Module View

The Skillaz HR process automation platform introduced the Goals module to users. It is designed for digital goal-setting management in companies and helps translate strategic objectives into measurable actions, record progress and shape a culture of responsibility. Skillaz announced this on July 17, 2025.

Previously, targeted installations often remained in the heads of managers, lost in notebooks, mailings or Excelfiles-. The Goals module combines task setting, progress tracking, visualization, and communication in a single space. This is especially true for distributed teams, timlids and HR departments that implement results management.

File:Aquote1.png
We designed the Goals module as a tool for teams: with the ability to divide tasks into steps, record progress in numbers and involve employees in the process. This is not just a list of tasks, but a single interface in which goal-setting control becomes transparent. Everything that used to require manual accounting is now systematized and works according to understandable rules, "said Andrey Sinyakin, Skillaz Product Director.
File:Aquote2.png

The Goals module is deeply integrated with other elements of the Skillaz HCM system: tasks are automatically synchronized with the Training, Skills and Performance Assessment modules. For example, when starting a new goal, an employee can immediately select the recommended courses or evaluate the appropriate skills - without switching between systems. This makes working with goals not a one-time initiative, but part of the end-to-end development of an employee within the company.

The module is adaptive and customizable to the specifics of a specific company, be it a production enterprise, IT team or federal retail network. Integration and customization of goals takes place together with the Skillaz team of product experts, which allows you to take into account the real processes of the company and integrate the module into the current HR ecosystem without unnecessary load.

Goals do not live in isolation from business: they cascade from a strategic level - to specific tasks of departments and employees. This provides a transparent link between business priorities and team actions. As a result, employees better understand the value of their contribution, and companies more quickly achieve results through high engagement and transparent tracking.

The main features of the module:

  • Setting of targets in one window

Users can specify the name, dates, description of the purpose, if necessary, attach documents. The target is immediately displayed in the general list available to both the employee and the manager.

  • Metrics and Auto Progress Calculation

The system supports quantitative and qualitative indicators, automatically calculates the percentage of tasks completed. If the data is updated, the recalculation takes place automatically - without manual actions.

  • Splitting Tasks into Actions

For each goal, you can specify a checklist of steps - with a sequence, progress marks and explanations. This allows you to turn big goals into step-by-step plans.

  • Comments and statuses in the interface

Discussion of goals is now possible right in the interface: users can comment on both the entire goal and individual metrics. The statuses are updated manually or automatically and always reflect the current status.

  • Personal and Team Goal Review

Each employee sees their goals in the "My Goals" section, and the manager sees the goals of the entire team. Table and card display modes, filters and preview are available.

The module is already available to users of the Skillaz platform. You can test it yourself or request a demo from the product team.

Platform rebranding

Skillaz has rebranded. The company has updated its visual identity and enhanced the platform's capabilities, making it more flexible and adaptive for the business. The updated Skillaz platform combines key HR tools into a single system, allowing the business to automate the selection, adaptation, training and development of employees. The platform ecosystem now also includes a goal-setting module that helps companies build a system of working with KPIs and achieving business results. The company announced this on March 12, 2025.

Skillaz offers Russian companies a fully localized HR solution that meets the requirements of security and integration with domestic systems. The company continues to develop the concept of import substitution and in terms of the maturity of some modules, the product has no Western analogues. The platform is built on the principle of modularity, which allows the business to flexibly adapt it to its needs.

Skillaz can close the entire interaction cycle with an employee - from the recruitment and recruitment phase to adaptation, development and retention, as well as escort after leaving the company. At the same time, the platform has a high degree of customization and can scale to the needs of the largest companies, ensuring continuous management of talent, retention of employees and increasing the efficiency of all HR processes.

Integration of Edstein Software

The developer of the platform for automating personnel management processes Skillaz fully integrates Edstein software into its platform. Skillaz announced this on January 13, 2025.

Edstein is a platform for adapting, evaluating, training employees and collecting HR analytics. It allows you to save time and resources on personnel training and track the stages of employee training and development from accepting an offer to exit interviews in real time.

{{quote 'author=said Andrey Sinyakin, Skillaz Product Director. | Now Skillaz is creating a multimodule HR platform that will automate the entire HR cycle of the company. Development of Intelligent Joboff System

On November 8, 2019, Skillaz announced the development of a system of intelligent job offers (job offers), which are automatically generated in Russian or English. The system itself compiles the text of the offer, based on the candidate's profession, position level, salary and more than 50 variables. The product is designed to automate manual labor and increase conversion at the 'last mile' of recruitment, as well as minimize errors due to the human factor.

Smart off Skillaz

Employers send offers to candidates who have successfully passed professional selection. The document describes the duties and working conditions, including remuneration, bonuses, social package and other benefits of the employer. Previously, HR specialists prepared such proposals manually, collecting all the conditions agreed with the candidate from different sources. Now a special intelligent support module is responsible for the content and targeted sending of offers from Skillaz customers.

Thanks to the tool, the recruiter can form and send a branded offer to a successful candidate in a couple of minutes. Each offer is created for a candidate individually: the system analyzes it according to a number of criteria and independently decides which blocks should be included. There is a separate tab in the applicant's profile, where all the data necessary to create an offer are collected: description of duties and working conditions from a vacancy, agreements with the applicant on salary and work schedule, as well as his personal data. In one click, the system, according to a given algorithm, independently collects a ready-made offer from all variables.

File:Aquote1.png
The development of intelligent offers is one of the first steps in introducing our AI functionality into customer practice. With each new product, we strive to significantly reduce the routine workload of recruiters. On average, a specialist spends 10 to 30 minutes to compile such a letter manually, depending on the vacancy, but our system copes with this task in seconds. In the coming year, we plan to adhere to this tactic and will launch a number of more products on the market that will significantly affect the business performance of customers through the HR function.

The Skillaz technology presented has been pilot tested by one of the company's international customers, and will be available to everyone from November 2019.

Obtaining the certificate of FSTEC of Russia

The information system of Skillaz, the developer of the recruitment automation service of the same name, passed the procedure for assessing compliance with the requirements of the FSTEC of Russia, given in Order No. 21 of February 18, 2013, and received a certificate confirming the provision of level 3 protection of personal data processed in the system. This was reported on September 3, 2019 in Skillaz.

The availability of the certificate confirms the use of information protection tools certified in the FSTEC and FSB systems of Russia, including antivirus protection, firewall shielding and cryptographic methods for protecting data transmitted through public networks, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

According to Skillaz, compliance with FSTEC requirements confirms the competence and responsibility of the company in working with personal data. It also makes it possible to provide services to companies, including the public sector, which are obliged to comply with the requirements for the protection of personal data.

As of September 3, 2019, all Skillaz servers are located in Russia, and the company is an operator of personal data registered with Roskomnadzor.

Integration with SAP SuccessFactors

In May 2017, SAP signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of HR technologies for business with the Russian startup Skillaz. Companies will jointly promote solutions for the selection and management of personnel. Skillaz technology is integrated with SAP SuccessFactors and enables HR departments to obtain information about candidates, manage data, and create recruitment and human resources business processes.

"The result of a joint solution between SAP SuccessFactors and Skillaz will be the construction of a digital recruiting system. This will help our clients to ensure a qualitative increase in the efficiency of recruitment, reduce the cost of finding candidates and the timing of closing vacancies. In addition, integration will make it possible to work more efficiently with new employees: improve their quality, reduce adaptation times and the number of layoffs in the first year of work, "said Sharak Andrey, Deputy General Director of SAP CIS. - Cooperation with Skillaz confirms our desire to find new partners in Russia and develop joint B2B solutions and integrations for SAP customers and partners. "

Integration of SkyEng, an online English knowledge assessment service

On January 25, 2017, Skillaz announced the integration of SkyEng, an online English language assessment service, into its technology. With this step, Skillaz will be able to automatically assess the level of English knowledge among job applicants.

In January 2017, Skillaz and SkyEng signed an agreement to integrate the service into Skillaz technology. This will allow automatic assessment of the level of English among candidates of non-top positions, which will be useful for companies that work with foreign partners.

The recruiter checks the level of English among applicants, and often the real level of English among the candidate does not correspond to the declared level. SkyEng has become an additional element in the assessment of applicants in Skillaz technology. The assessment of the level of English occurs online without human participation, saving recruiters time, and significantly speeds up the search for the desired candidate.

File:Aquote1.png
Working with SkyEng is another step towards creating a universal technology that will help you find candidates in the labor market faster and more efficiently. Already, our platform allows you to save up to 35% of the time for recruiting. In partnership with other innovative services, we hope to create a unique solution that will take the search for personnel to a technologically new level.

Skillaz and VisionLabs create a joint product

Skillaz and VisionLabs, a developer of facial recognition technologies, are working on a computer analysis system for the behavior of an applicant at an interview. By assessing the candidate's behavior, the system will draw conclusions about his professional qualities and fitness for office. According to partners, there are no similar products in Russia.

Robotic assessment of applicants should reduce the time and funds that companies spend on finding new employees. The product is planned to be launched in Q4 2017, as VisionLabs CEO Alexander Hanin told CNews. Prospective customers are companies with large hiring needs, Enterprise level. The technology will be offered to all current and future Skillaz customers.

VisionLabs will directly develop and train the system. Skillaz, according to the general director of the company Andrei Krylov, is responsible for combining this tool with other methods of evaluating applicants, profiling candidates and directly introducing the product into the business of corporations. The VisionLabs team has more than 40 people, the Skillaz team has more than 10.

Analysis of the applicant's behavior

The system is based on facial recognition technology developed by VisionLabs and using deep learning neural networks. The program will evaluate static and dynamic traits in the candidate's behavior during interviews and associate them with certain social and professional competencies.

When asked by CNews what these signs are, and which competencies from them can follow, Alexander Hanin replied: "The simplest example is to assess the candidate's communicability based on his answers to a certain set of questions asked by the online interview system. The created product will be able to search for the relationship between the behavior of the candidate on the video card and the degree of expression of one or another competence thanks to the estimated data accumulated by Skillaz technology. "

The system will analyze the video recording of the candidate's online interview. The analysis will take into account the candidate's facial expressions, his gestures, as well as physiognomy. But what specific signs will become the most important for the most suitable candidate, the neural network will determine itself.

According to Skillaz, the technology allows the recruitment of staff at all levels: top managers, middle managers, mass staff. The only limitation is that among the mass staff, video interviews are not widespread, the conversion is small. Therefore, first of all, the technology is aimed at medium and top positions, and in the future - at mass personnel.

Skillaz will be responsible for automating the entire hiring process. With the help of its online testing system, the least suitable applicants are screened out, thus, pre-selected candidates will appear before the recognition system for interviews.

2015: Business Angels allocate €160,000 to launch company

Skillaz was launched in January 2015 by Andrey Krylov and Grigory Dudash. In December 2015, the company raised €160 thousand from several business angels. Skillaz at this time is positioned as an online recruiting platform. The service helps to compile a video sample and conduct a video interview on previously prepared issues. The employer places a vacancy and test questions for candidates on the platform, applicants answer these questions by recording video. The service forms a whole video interview from the answers, which the employer can watch at any time and note - he "liked" the application or refused the applicant. Among the clients are ABC Vkusa, VimpelCom, Wrike.
