2020: The announcement of the Smart UPS Short-Depth model on the 1500 VA Li-ion batteries

On February 27, 2020 the Schneider Electric company provided model from the next generation of interactive Smart UPS UPSes on the 1500 VA Li-ion batteries.

According to the company, the updated series linearly - interactive Smart UPS UPSes with Li-Ion technology is developed for ensuring reliable protection of power supply of the IT equipment and network devices, UPSes are capable to increase battery life and to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO): the Li-ion technology provides economy to 50% in comparison with the UPS on traditional lead-acid batteries.

More and more customers when choosing solutions operate with the cost of cumulative ownership and compactness of the equipment. It causes the high potential of development of solutions based on Li-ion technologies. In 2019 we some of the first provided to the market the single-phase UPSes with double conversion with Li-Ion batteries. In 2020 this family was replenished with a series linearly - interactive Smart UPS UPSes with Li-Ion technology.

It is possible to refer to additional benefits of Smart UPS Short-Depth:

  • The UPS can be completed with the optional card of network management that will allow to provide not only traditional functionality of the UPS setup via the convenient web interface, but also easy monitoring, and control at connection to cloud with solutions of EcoStruxure.
  • Li-ion cells are compact and have the weight, smaller in comparison with analogs. They support high performance at ambient temperature to 40 °C and also provide lower total cost of ownership due to increase in service life and cutting of costs for service and replacement.
  • Compact depth allows to use these UPSes in conditions where the limited IT space is a critical factor when choosing the solution.
  • The device is equipped the managed group of sockets.
