In Russia, the construction of two passenger vessels with ice reinforcements of the RYeGK.126 project - Onega and Solvychegodsk - has been completed. This was reported by the Russian Classification Society on November 28, 2025.

The vessels were built under the technical supervision of the Northern branch of the Russian Classification Society. Ship class - M-PR3,0 (led50). The construction of a series of vessels of the RYeGK.126 project is underway at the Krasnaya Kuznitsa Shipyard, the Arkhangelsk branch of the Zvezdochka Shipyard Repair Center of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The ships were named "Onega," "Solvychegodsk," "Kargopol" and "Kenozerye."

Contracts for the construction of vessels of the RYeGK.126 project were concluded on December 30, 2021. The funds are allocated within the framework of state the program "Development of the transport system." Financing is carried out within the framework of the leasing program for marine and river civilian vessels of the United Shipbuilding Corporation with direct participation. Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia

The first passenger ship of the Onega RYeGK.126 project was laid down at Krasnaya Kuznitsa in June 2022. The ships "Onega" and "Solvychegodsk" entered sea trials in April 2025.

The project RYeGK.126 developed by the Northern Branch of the Russian Classification Society. The project takes into account modern comfort and safety requirements, as well as the climatic features of the region. The class of ice reinforcement and the power of the propulsive installation are suitable for work in the waters of Arkhangelsk and Onega. Ships can make flights with a thickness of broken ice up to 50 cm.

The Project RYeGK.126 passenger vessel has the following technical parameters:

  • length - 28.40 m;
  • width - 6.70 m;
  • side height amidships - 3.50 m;
  • settlement along the structural waterline - 2.3 m;
  • settlement along the cargo waterline in ballast - 2.2 m;
  • displacement - 230.4 cubic meters. m;
  • main engine power - 2×368 kW;
  • design speed - 12 knots.

The crew of the vessel is three people to work in Arkhangelsk and two people to work in Onega.[1]
