2018: Announcement of a product

On June 28, 2018 Konica Minolta Healthcare started the new portable ultrasonic Sonimage MX1 scanner for a research of the musculoskeletal device in response to the growing demand for means of assistance at the patient's bed. The device can be used in orthopedic practice, including to control of sports on special platforms or outdoors and to control of invasive procedures in out-patient practice.

The built-in batteries are expected one hour of independent operation, however the validity of the device can be extended using special accumulators. In general the portability of a system allows to apply it as in specially equipped operating rooms, and at home to assessment of rehabilitation of the patient.

Sonimage MX1 allows to change different parameters of the device, such as frequency, focus and a kompaunding, by change of penetration depth of a signal. Convenient and simple user preferences of the scanner allow to increase efficiency of the doctor, and the improved characteristics of the image help specialists to set the right diagnosis, to control rehabilitation of the patient and to carry out invasive interventions, for example, a tonkoigolny biopsy, a katetetrization of deep veins or neuromuscular blockade. Reliable improvement of image quality allows to consider fibrous and nervous fibers with a diameter only several hundred microns.

The company pays attention that the Sonimage MX1 scanner is equipped with Dual Sonic technology from Konica Minolta which reduces noises at a research and increases efficiency of data transmission. According to the company, the Sonimage MX1 system has the characteristics comparable to functionality of the flagman scanner of Sonimage HS1 company. The new scanner already came to the market. Cost is not reported.[1]
