2023: Product Announcement
On May 10, 2023, a startup SquareX founded by field specialist cyber security Vivek Ramachandran introduced cloud disposable browser technology. It is assumed that the proposed solution will become an alternative VPN and will provide protection against malware. software
The development of SquareX is based on the SaaS model (software as a service). The service integrates into a regular browser as an extension and allows users to open links and files in one-time web browsers that perform the functions of temporary sandboxes. Because such browsers run in SquareX data centers, threats don't reach users' computers and they don't have to worry about their personal information being disclosed.
In addition, SquareX disposable browsers provide anonymous viewing from anywhere. Users can get rid of such a web browser at any time: this means that no data is saved, and the session is destroyed and immediately deleted from SquareX servers. According to the startup, the proposed approach ensures that even the most complex website tracking tools will not be able to log user actions and correlate them with a certain personality. The technology provides a higher level of security than incognito mode, because information about visited resources and downloaded files are not stored on the user's computer.
SquareX has already raised $6 million for development as part of an initial round of funding. The funds will come from Sequoia Capital Southeast Asia: the money will be used to refine the technology and commercialize it. SquareX's go-to-market strategy will focus primarily on, and USA Britain countries. Asia[1]
