2024: Application of the complex for cutting down trees

In the Novgorod region, the TRINITI ES mobile laser complex was used. This was announced on April 3, 2024 by Rosatom.

The laser complex was used by order of the Rosseti North-West company to clear the clearing from trees and shrubs under power lines.

A mobile laser complex was used in the Novgorod region TRINITIES

The trunk of a tree 200 mm thick was cut off in six minutes. According to Dmitry Metlyaev, head of the TRINITIES advanced laser laboratory, this is a good result. By simulating a laser beam beam, potentially the speed can be doubled. According to Metlyaev's layers, the laser complex is a completely domestic development that has no analogues in Russia.

According to Grigory Kuzmenko, head of the Rosseti North-West operation service, the company appreciated the advantages of using the laser complex and is considering using the development option for dismantling power transmission line supports.

Regular clearing of this zone is necessary, and we are considering various methods of its implementation, including with the help of Rosatom mobile laser complexes. It is necessary to study in detail the possibility of using a laser to clear and expand clearings from the point of view of fire safety, but its advantages are already obvious - added Kuzmenko.

The mobile laser complex has a radiation power of 50 kW with a range of 300 meters. The maximum cutting depth is 440 mm. The speed of laser cutting reaches 20 m/h. The complex works at various temperatures - from -50 to + 40 degrees Celsius. It can be used for laser cutting, oil spill response, underwater gas and gas cutting, fragmentation of equipment at hazardous facilities, as well as fragmentation of equipment at hazardous facilities[1]
