STATISTICA 10

Users are also offered to estimate more flexible means of graphical representation of data, close integration with the Microsoft SharePoint platform and a possibility of direct connection to OLAP cubes.

In a program runtime of STATISTICA 10 unique achievements of 64-bit computer technology and also concurrent processes are applied. The majority of the functions of the STATISTICA program used at data processing and accomplishment of the analysis are optimized using multithreaded technology. Thus, their parallel use on multi-core processors and achievement of the highest high-speed performance for multidimensional tasks in economy, business, medicine became possible.

Integration and compatibility

• Loading and unloading from STATISTICA 10 uses new programs of exchange and data integration now – Microsoft SharePoint. Documents of STATISTICA can be transferred and received conveniently from SharePoint using the user interface of the program now.
• STATISTICA directly imports the Office 2007 and 2010 files, saving formatting. This new technology allowed to increase the speed of import of data from Excel 2007 and 2010 to tables of the STATISTICA program and also made it steadier against unloading errors. Loading/unloading from Excel 2007/2010 supports a text format of cells now.
• STATISTICA Query can obtain data not only from external systems, such as supplier of data of Microsoft OLE DB, but also from business information warehouses of SAP Business Warehouse.

Data visualization

Enhanced graphic capabilities of STATISTICA allow to automatically determine and use advantages of highly effective hardware acceleration which can be implemented not only video cards of top desktop computers - level, but also graphic accelerators of notebooks of "average" level. As a result of graphics are under construction not only quicker, but also support more advanced settings of the image. Graphic program capabilities of STATISTICA were improved thanks to new procedures of stratification, fill with color and smoothing of lines, curves and surfaces. Besides, all graphic documents of STATISTICA (both separate, and collected in the workbook) can online change and be configured (using the tools located in the lower part of a chart window). New opportunities of STATISTICA 10 allow to improve appearance of the diagram, to carry out deeper visual analysis and to reveal the hidden trends by gradual reduction of saturation of the image and also rotation of three-dimensional diagrams.

• Interactive scaling allows to reveal visually the hidden trends using stretching or compression of the interesting part of the diagram. The user can online change the scale of all axes of the diagram.
• Interactive scrolling will help to detect the trends hidden in data array. Using a mouse it is possible to scroll online diagram axes to the left or to the right.
• Transparency – the new possibility of STATISTICA 10 – will allow to reveal the trends hidden in dense data array (especially at creation of charts of dispersion on selection of large volume). The purpose is achievement of optimum level of density of points at which it is possible to reveal the patterns hidden by a large number of accidental data (white noise) which create effect of "an ink spot".
• Trunk lines can be added quickly on the diagram using the option Reference Lines available in the All Parameters of the Diagram dialog.
• Interactive editing of the text – the text can be changed directly in a chart window, without opening the editor. * The editor of the text remained available and still contains additional options for formatting.

User interface

The user interface was significantly processed taking into account the last achievements of ergonomics in the following areas:

• Reduction of visual tension.
• Improvement of efficiency of work of the person with the computer.

Analysis

• STATISTICA 10 simplifies the procedure of adjustment and modeling.
• Extensive and widely scalable implementation of model of proportional risks of Cox (powerful model for the data containing lifetimes) is added to version 10. This module has appendices in the following areas: the analysis of lifetimes of patients in medicine, the analysis of turnover of clients and modeling and a time estimate of operation of mechanical parts.
• The model of proportional risks of Cox allows to work with the tsenzurirovanny data, categorial predictors and plans containing interactions and/or the enclosed effects effectively. As technology of creation of models this module uses a method of the best subsets and step-by-step regression. Creation of functions of survival for new data can be set using STATISTICA Rapid Deployment.

2015: Statistica 13

On October 21, 2015 the Dell company presented the solution Statistica 13 for work with Big Data and analytics. The product is focused on the help to the companies in fast and reliable transformation of data into forecasts for acceptance of the right decisions in the shortest possible time.

The product can be integrated into business processes and be used at each stage of work for receiving more good results.

The version of a software platform of profound analytics of Dell Statistica 13 helps to simplify and improve process of implementation of predictive models directly in data sources in the firewall, in a cloud and in the partner's ecosystem. The solution is easy-to-work, does not require writing of the code and is integrated with open language R.

As a part of Dell Statistica a number of tools for detection and consolidation of data and predictive analytics. A system helps the organizations to consider all available information for predicting of trends of the future, identification of new clients and the sales forecast, to test scenarios of a type "that if", to reduce the probability of fraud and other risks for business.

Among functions there are Statistica 13 platforms:

• the upgraded graphical interface simplifying use of a product and doing data by more visual;

• profound integration into the Statistica Interactive Visualization and Dashboard engine;

• the integration with open language R simplifying exchange and management of R-scripts;

• tool of the step-by-step recommendation of optimal models for users;

• the enhanced capabilities of the Native Distributed Analytics (NDA) tool allowing users to start the analysis directly in databases and to work more effectively with the large and growing data arrays.

The NDA tool places algorithms of creation of predictive models and function of calculation directly in data sources. It eliminates delays and restrictions which take place owing to existence of the intermediate server or a desktop system. All processing is executed in the database. Such approach allows the organizations to take advantages of clusters of Hadoop, hardware and other high-performance platforms. Initially the NDA functions for the Microsoft SQL Server databases will be built in the Statistica 13 platform. According to the statement of the company, support of other databases will be added in the subsequent updates.
