Stratus ftServer

Product
Developers: Stratus Technologies
Technology: Server platforms

The specialized Stratus ftServer server platform has reliability indicator exceeding 99.9999% that limits an allowed time of idle time up to 31.5 seconds a year.

Stratus ftServer is the industrial server developed for simplification of operation of systems to which increased requirements in reliability are imposed, on availability, protection against idle times and data loss. The Stratus servers are subdivided on performance into three lines of 2700 (1x by Xeon 4-Core, Max 32 GB RAM), 4700 (2x Xeon 4-Core, Max 256 GB RAM) and 6400 (2x Xeon 8-Core, Max 256 GB RAM), each of which provides fault tolerance of 99.9999% of time (an allowed time of idle time of 29 seconds in a year).

Similar reliability of work is caused by double redundancy of all components of the server (CPU, RAM, HDD, etc. have the duplicative partner who is carrying out synchronously same instructions in each timepoint). As synchronization of work of the duplicated components is performed at the hardware level, for software and users of Stratus it is represented the single server requiring one license OS (Windows, Red Hat, VMware) and according to one license of applications (SCADA, Historian, RBD, etc.).

Thus, the Stratus ftServer server platform does not demand special skills from the operating and administering personnel on setup of reservation and debugging of operation of applications that does total cost of ownership of Stratus ftServer lower in relation to "cluster" solutions.
